Medical

SHCH has 15 in-patient medical beds and a full-service outpatient department. With specialists in internal medicine, endocrinology, and emergency medicine, your health is in good hands. Diagnostic services include x-ray, ECHO, CT, and ultrasound. Our internationally recognized lab is on-site to provide fast and accurate results. With a focus on early detection and prompt treatment, our medical department prioritizes evidence-based care according to international standards.

The SHCH medical unit regularly hosts international experts to train and mentor our clinicians and consult on complex patients in the hospital. We believe that just because many of our patients cannot afford to pay for medical care, there is no reason not to provide the highest-quality care possible to them.

Respect is at the heart of our medical department’s work.

Surgical

SHCH boasts two operating rooms and 12 inpatient surgical beds. Providing a wide range of general surgeries every day, our hospital also hosts international specialists several times per year to provide surgeries in neurology, orthopedics, and plastics among others. With laparoscopic and endoscopic capabilities, our surgeons regularly update their skills and equipment.

Staffed by internationally-trained Cambodian surgeons and with operating equipment furnished by USAID, SHCH offers safe, skilled surgical care.

For surgical consultations, please visit us during outpatient opening hours Monday-Friday 07:30 to 16:30.

Infectious diseases

SHCH has been a leader in infectious disease management since our opening in 1996. In 2002, SHCH was one of the first hospitals in Cambodia to offer anti-retroviral treatment and has been recognized by the Ministry of Health for its work in stemming the HIV epidemic.

We provide confidential and compassionate HIV testing, counseling and treatment services. SHCH also has 3 dedicated inpatient beds for acutely unwell infectious disease patients. With peer support groups, a specialty pharmacy with a quality stock of required medications, and an army of clinicians overseeing 4,000 patients per year, SHCH continues to be a center of choice for Cambodians living with HIV.

Also under the umbrella of the department are our TB and Hepatitis clinics. Our in-house laboratory is one of the few regional centers to provide TB microscopy for improved treatment and patient outcomes. SHCH is also at the forefront of hepatitis screening in Cambodia, with serology screening and treatment available for Hepatitis B and C.

Our infectious disease clinics are open from 07:30 to 16:30 Monday – Friday.
